As of the first week in July,
Wahaca will be opening a new restaurant to their chain, attached to the Southbank centre. The same location that Dishoom popped up last year.
They will be transforming this space into a 130 seat restaurant, bar terrace and outdoor seating area built from 8 recycled Shipping containers over 2 storeys.
As the title suggests, this venue will remain very much an experiment, from the decor ( Designed by Trsitan Manco) down to the chefs and their ingredients. It is unknown how long it will stay at the site, as The Southbank Centre are yet to allocate this space after its 3 month original installation period.
Fingers crossed we will be able to fill our selves with their mouth-watering mexican street food for months to come, bring on the Tequila!
